Can I just say Goodbye to
Ian Copeland, (brother of Stewart and Miles Copeland), who died on Tuesday night
in Los Angeles. Ian was our Agent in America
with his company FBI, (Frontier Booking International),
He made Simple Minds in America along with countless other bands from these shores. I'll see you when I get there Ian. R.I.P.

Sad news indeed about Ian.

On a lighter note, it certainly looked a lovely day in that photo!

Derek,
any tips for a crap bass player on getting better? I'm getting there slowly but I want to get there faster!!!

Check out my KLOUT blog and leave us a message, the lads in KLOUT would be made up!!!

Cheers,

Banny.

Hi Derek. We are two simple minds fans from Belgium. Derek, right now we're listening to your rolling bass intro to new gold dream from Werchter 84. It takes our breath away. Derek, do you ever think of joining the minds again? We've been joining the minds across europe recently. We missed your sound. Lotsa love! xxx ps: any chance of ever hearing you playing citizen dance of youth again? Derek, ma son warm lands, we miss you!
