born relatively young,Scottish,keen footballer as a child,joined first band at age 9, named them the 'Tiny Troggs'.Played for Liverpool boys club in the Gorbals, Glasgow.Learned guitar at15,played in various bands. Made first record with the 'Subhumans (Subs) in London. Joined Simple Minds (Scotland).Joined Propaganda (Germany),joined Oblivion Dust (Japan). joined Spear of Destiny (England), formed newest band A Few Good Men, now Fourgoodmen. (U.K.).

dear mr derek forbes.. great site, nice pictures, new and old. saw you w/ the minds in 84, up all night club, new jersey...you stole that show on bass. i took up the bass after that show. hope some day the 4GM can come to NYC. you have many loyal fans in the states as well as your others in 4GM. new songs sound good.
