Well I'm off work this week woohoo and the sun is glorious so will I be sunnying myself Nope! garden needs a weeding and there's always the ironing (mind you I have a wee cheeky glass/bottle of blanco vino it helps)
Mind you I will be practising my putting skills tomorrow before I head to Xscape for the largest indoor crazy golf in Europe at weekend so be warned stay away or there will be a golf ball atween your eyes

There is a new Cavern club in Mathew St, Derek. I think I gave Ian the info from the net..ok it's not the real thing, but it's a good copy with a brill atmosphere. KB played there last year with DMW, so it should suit 4MW. Keeping fingers firmly crossed that you get a gig there..

Long time fan, also used to play bass. I see you're using a bass with pickups closer to the bridge rather than the neck. Don't you find that the proper low-end bass sound comes from a neck pickup? As in your days with the Precision. Hell ya.

My worst 'joint Xmas present' between myself and my brother, ( I was 15 and he was 17), was Dizzy Bug. It was basically a painted cup cake baking tray, with a couple of brightly painted clockwork beetles that you would wind up and let go to see where in the baking tray it would land. Every indentation had a number, which would determine your score. What a fucking laugh we had when we opened that, I can tell you. Now you know where the eccentric madness in me comes from. My mother, God Bless Her, is barking mad...only joking Mammy. Derek

Guess what I'm now the proud owner of a shinny black eye how did I get it? Darren and I were playing with a frizbay and he got me on the cheeckbone and the eye ouch! i tell ya it brought water to my eyes saves on the eyeshadow I suppose LOL

Here's me back from a mad weekend taking in four gigs in four days.. Greenock, Glasgow, South Shields and London.. Now making up for lost time!! I see the madness hasn't left this place.. and long may it continue!!

It was great to be back in South Shields.. hopefully I might pay a flying visit the same weekend as the Dunfermline gig (just trying to sort out the logistics!) I think the boys would love it there. I showed Caz the Magpie's Nest and the various curry houses in Ocean Road.. All the gigs were pretty good, though the highlight of the weekend was seeing Monument, the Ultravox tribute band, for the first time. Good news is that it looks that I have acquired their services for a certain fundraising do in 2008, but more about that nearer the time..

Thanks FFL.. It looks like the fundraiser will be happening around April/May of 2008, but I will let you know nearer the time. See you at Dunfermline!
