ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! And you CHOSE to publish that?! It's like a News of the World expose in reverse. Bet you were both FIGHTING off the groupies!
Sorry to be so rude. Had a bad day. African Drums. 5 and 6 year olds. Music room 9am. Me `teaching`. Trying to explain soft and loud drumming. Not successful. Ears still ringing. Mel Gaynor step aside...have a class of 24 ready and willing to take over. SJ x
Are you Kenny Hislop .
just testing my new profile pic.
i like the hair, the sofa and teddy sweater patterns. it's like a cheap LSD trip... kinda like... lol
Great new pic QOTM...just could not get my pic to `accept` so have posted a link to myspace page on my profile. Drop by and say hello anytime peeps. Would be good to chat to more SM/4GM supporters...especially anyone going to Glasgow on 28th as will be going on my own (probably...have two tickets but all my mates have kids and/or terrible taste in music and would not travel to Glasgow if I paid em). Be good to be able to say "hello" to a fellow blogger at the gig. SJ x
I used to have an underfelt for that hair

It's just as well you weren't wearing that lovely Jumper, my intuition suggests that this picture was taken shortly after christmas, a present from Steve's mum perhaps!
Thanks for your reply and thanks for your response regarding Sons of Dan loop, I've asked Mick on his forum but as yet have not had a reply.
Regards Ben
Any plans to travel south of the Border? not though I'm unwilling to travel, a gig in Blackpool would be great. Some friends of mine saw you in 79 at Norbreck Castle, most envious I was a bit young and missed you being a post 85 fan, a 98 tour didn't materialise either! Always been a fan of your impact on SM.
Hi Smart Car.. there's quite a few of us making the journey to Glasgow from various parts of the world.. Some are travelling from Sweden!! There's going to be a pre-gig get together at the Sir John Moore (Wetherspoons) pub, opp the Radisson.. not far from Central Station. Would be good to catch up with you there. Might be an idea if you try to offload your spare ticket on the 4gm forum.
Derek, I had some dodgy haircuts in the early 80s (some would argue that I still do) so I won't make any comments about the photo. But it did make me smile.. (well, go on I'll admit it.. grin!!)
Ah, thanks for that. Always up for a pre gig drink! Feel a bit better about making the journey up from`down south` on my own now. If I can't persuade a mate to wise up to what they will be missing I will def pass on my spare ticket thru the forum. Having trouble registering with forum at mo. Thanks again! SJ

Hi Derek.. Hope you had a good time at the Dead Men Walking gigs at Bristol and Glasgow. Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington were a blast. Looking forward to the 4GM gig at the Arches, It's going to be one big party!!
damn...that must have been such an exciting time for you and the band. few albums stand up as well as sons and sister. those albums that are so contemporary/modern and forward that they simply do not age. in so far as that they tap into the essence of what is art. timeless communication, a complete connection to the listner and beyond... holy shit, did i just write that. well, i ment it. very few albums hold up as well as sons and sister. cheers to both you and mick. truely the core of the band through those years. if nothing else, you get to take the hi ground. there are to many saps out there faking thier way through it. lost is the art! can't wait to see FGM in washington.
