Spear live in London
What a mad eleven days that was! We had one rehearsal in London on the night before the tour, then off we went. First gig was at the Academy in Islington, London. It went really well. This was my first night meeting the lads from Gene Loves Jezebel. We were to become great friends during the course of the tour. Our line up was Kirk Brandon, our Leader, Warren 'Woz' Wilson on lead guitar, Chris 'Cider Man'Bell "..somebody at the door?"...on Drums and Derek 'Tea total' Forbes on Bass.
Gene Loves Jezebel had James ' Basher' Stephenson on Lead Guitar, Jay 'Yackee Da' Aston on Vocals, Pete 'the Ripper' Rizzo on Bass and Chris' Cider Man' Bell..."would somebody answer that"...on Drums. As you can see, Chris did all twenty two gigs on the tour, which was above and beyond the call of duty. He may never be able to play the trombone again.
What a lovely time was had by all.
